Brainstorming, Sketching, and Overthinking

Getting started on this new piece has been slow going as I've been brainstorming, sketching, and overthinking things. Because this piece is going to be a part of a body of work I want to ensure that it's cohesive with the others and yet individually unique in it's own right. Sharing my creative process has no doubt taken me out of my comfort zone, but I'm trying to embrace the social media scene as it's clearly not going anywhere. I'm taking a slightly different approach for this piece as I'm sketching each component separately on tracing paper so I can see how placement/overlapping of objects will look together as a whole. Here are few more of my preliminary sketches. After combining two of my sketches together you can slowly see the piece taking form.
