Flora and Fauna

I took a little break to regroup after having to restart the piece I was working on. Usually I'm able to work through a mistake, but I wasn't able to pull out of it. You may or may not be familiar with watercolor, but it's not a very forgiving medium. Once you've built up your colors layer by layer, they're down for good. At that point you can only pick up so much color off of the paper. The best attribute of the medium, it's translucency, ended up being my downfall as I was unable to paint over my mistake. However, with every error there's room to grow. Here's a quick doodle I did of some flora and fauna to clear my mind.
