Got My Groove Back

After two failed attempts to get started on this new series of paintings I finally got my groove back. I broke one of my golden rules, which is to never revisit or recreate a previous piece. I now realize that's what I was attempting to do with this last go-round. But, third times a charm. Besides nothing good ever comes out of something that comes too easily. At least that's what I'm telling myself. Here's a progress shot of my new work.
