Keep it Simple Stupid

I started Inktober thinking I would keep it simple and pace myself seeing that I had 31 days of this madness. But nooo, that would be too easy and honestly that's just not how I roll. Day 3 I drew a spider with a cameo of Miyazaki's kodama, day 4 a montage of the one and only KaiKai, day 5 a succulent critter with a cameo of Miyazaki's susuwatari, and day 6 I busted out some "Stranger Things" fan art.

For those who don't know, according to Japanese folklore, Kodama are spirits who inhabit trees and Susuwatari are fictitious yokai (spirits) or soot sprites created by Hayao Miyazaki. And if you haven't seen any of his movies you really should take the time to watch them. They're awesome!
